Cervical Cancer

Cervical Cancer is a dreaded malignant cancer affecting the cervix uteri and has been intensifying its spread in the very recent years. It takes up a toll of an average of 200 women almost every day allover the world. It is considered as a great risk factor affecting the life of women. This dreaded cancer owes its cause to the virus, Human pappilomavirus (HPV). The cancer can be caused due to immoral sexual activities and is hence considered as a sexually transmitted disease. The Symptoms of Cervical cancer are usually unnoticeable because they mimic other diseases. They slowly conquer the Human Immune system and eventually leads us to the final stage, which is incurable. The symptoms of the disease usually are Abnormal bleeding, Unusual heavy discharge, Pelvic pain and do vary from person to person.
The Cancer can be detected by screening and Biopsy procedures. The cancer has the developmental stages from I to IV out of which the cancer in last two stages are almost incurable. The treatment for the Microinvasive Ist stage usually involves the removal of the uterus. The prevention measures of the cancer include Awareness, Screening, Preventive vaccination and healthy, nutritive food.
