Parkinson Disease

Parkinson’s disease is a chronic disorder which affects the neuro-muscular activities of the human being. It is a degenerative disorder which hails its origin from a variety of unknown reasons which might also be genetic mutations, toxic substances and brain trauma. It might also be drug-induced. It curbs the motor movements of the individual leading to speech, autonomic and perception disorders. The symptoms of the disease typically vary for the individuals apart from motor disability. The Motor Symptoms include tremor, lack of rigidity and posture instability which includes special conditions like “Festination” and “Gate Freezing”. The Neuropsychiatric symptoms include head trauma ,cognitive and mood disturbances. The treatment of Parkinson’s disease requires a widespread education to both the individual and the family. The disease in the early stage can be treated physiotherapy and a nutritive diet. The later stages of the disease requires medications, surgery and deep brain simulation. Neurorehabilitation and neural transplantation have now proved to be effective in most recent considerations improving the mobility, flexibility, voice and speech function.
